Our 5th Promise
At Harrison Elementary’s Visual and Performing Arts Academy, we believe that the arts are not extracurricular—they’re essential. We’re proud to nurture confident, curious, and creative learners who are inspired to express themselves and engage meaningfully with the world around them. Through our 5th Promise, in addition to Fayette County Public School's Four Promises, we strive to ensure that every 5th Grade Student is able to leave Harrison saying, "I am a Creative and Innovative Contributor!"
Theory of Action
If we ensure students are clearly informed of learning expectations and standards of performance, are authentically engaged in the learning process, are provided feedback that moves learning forward, and we collaborate with families to provide wrap-around supports, then every student will exceed a year of growth in reading and mathematics and achievement gaps will close as measured by school, district, and state assessments.
